Last night i went to the roof top of our building hoping to take some shots of fireworks display for the celebration of the "Chinese New Year". To my dismay, and I almost forgot, my neighborhood is not a Chinese community. From a distant place I guess it's Binondo, the China Town, I saw some firework but my gear can no longer take a good shot.
Not to spoil the evening and my little effort. I just took some long exposure shots over the streets of Boni Avenue, and I think it came out just fine for my taste. To capture the glaring stars below, opps it should be the street lights and not the stars.

I've joined the Flickristasindios Group a few months ago and I enjoyed their companionships as well as their activities. But what I didn't experience last year is to attend their so called "Indios Photowalk". I do work during the night in which the main reason why I can't suite my schedule to attend the photowalks. But this years' photowalk dubbed as "Flickristasindios Unang Photowalk ng Taon 2009" is my first photowalk and I can say I enjoyed much and very happy to experience such walking for almost 10 hours around the streets of Manila.
We started at Quiapo Church towards Sta.Cruz, Escolta, Binondo and Ongpin. We paused at Ongpin to have some break and to have our lunch. After our lunch, we headed back to Binondo, Intramuros and Luneta Park. With all the hardships of walking for hours, the energy still flowing in our viens and very much eager to have a handful shots of the seascape of Manila Bay, we rushed to our final destination, the Baywalk. We're expecting to have some sunset shots but sad to say the sun is hidding behind the thick and black clouds. So that's concluded our "Flickristasindios Unang Photowalk ng Taon".

Took my gadget at Canon Service Center a while ago which I sent last Jan 5, 2009 for dust cleaning. I make test shots at the Service Center and worked fine without any problem. When I got to my place and open my camera to take some shots, I got this "Error 99" on my display. This sucks a little bit. I just need to go back again and have my 400D fix. The error doesn't came from the lens, CF card and/or battery. I did try to follow the instruction from the error itself but still no luck at all. Until I came to notice the small internal battery. I reset the system by taking off the internal battery. Put on the camera main battery and it did power off without showing the error.

Last night I took my Sony Point & Shoot camera (DSC-P100) and took a long exposure shot over the cityscape of Rockwell area Makati City. Due to a limited setting in which I can no longer adjust and lack of tripod, in addition to that there's also high beam light near my subject beaming towards my location. Neglecting some high beam lights, zooming my P&S at 18mm equivalent and a 15sec exposure, wallah a Gotham City is created. A shot made at night for the cityscape and treated in black and white.
